Because you’re my boss and still using IE6?

Are you a web designer? And it’s you job to make my website works on all browser? Yes, it’s my job to make website works on all browser that compliance with html/css standard.

Simply because you don’t want to?

You’re using pirated xp edition. Come on, you could get your hands on pirated edition but don’t know how to pass wga?

because I don’t know to solved CSS issue for IE6 or you only know how to make codes that only work on IE 6

I do aware that percentage of IE 6 user based on w3c schools browser stat still around 15.9% and not to support the 15.9% could leads to cutting off potential clients – not that I have many clients :D. But I don’t care, because you don’t care about the nightmare on having to support 3 versions of IE browser, and whining about why are you using 3 different CSS for each browser and not to mention .PNG transparency issue.

Hey you’re the web designer, it’s you job. Now that’s crass naive.

Moblin v2.0 Beta Feature Summary

New, visually rich user experience, optimized for Netbook and Nettops, building on the latest open source graphics technology, such as Clutter, DRI2, and KMS. The user experience is provided mainly through the toolbar and panels, available at the top of the screen.

The m_zone, acting as the ‘home screen’ panel. It provides instant access to your synchronized calendar, tasks, appointments, recently used files, and real-time updates from your friends on social networking sites.

Aggregation of your social networking content. This provides you with the ability to see your social networking activities on one screen, easily interact with your friends, and update your status and site information. Twitter and Last.fm are the currently supported social networking sites, with more to come.

A web browser optimized for the Moblin 2.0 Netbook user interface. Based on the latest Mozilla browser technology revised into a Clutter shell, the browser gives you access to the whole internet, as well as advanced features, such as video embedding and the latest Flash plug-in, while integrating seamlessly into the user interface.

A ‘Zoomable’ media player. This player brings your media collection to life as you zoom from viewing all media down to focusing on an individual picture, movie, or audio track. The media player can detect and index media on external USB devices, as well as UPnP devices on your network.

A user interface for connection management and an updated connection manager (ConnMan).

And, of course, support for Linux desktop applications. Moblin is built using GNOME Mobile Technologies and supports existing Linux desktop applications.

Haven’t tried myself but I’m the process in downloading the .img. I’m gonna use my wife’s acer aspire one D250 for test subject

The Inkscape team and community is preparing to release Inkscape 0.47. As usual, since we will be releasing a new version of Inkscape in the near future, we need to have a new about screen done.

Basics:

Our goal is to show off what the new version of Inkscape can do in an artistic manner.

We’d like a theme of this to be “re-factoring”, as it was the primary focus of this development cycle. Think improving, re-building, enhancing the basics. Things such as machinery, blueprints, technical work, and things along those lines were mentioned as ideas.

You should use a current SVN build (aka nightly build) to show off some new features. Nightly builds can be obtained from our downloads page (link is below) under the “Development Versions” section. It is highly recommended to get the most recently dated version.

The contest will run from May 4, 2009 – May 25, 2009.

Rules:

The canvas dimensions must be 750×625 px / 600×500 pt (your image can bleed outside of the canvas, but anything outside of the canvas border will not be rendered).

Your image must be licensed appropiately: CC BY-SA, GPL, or any other “open” license.

It must be made in Inkscape only with no post-processing as we will require the SVG file to use for the about screen. Note: Your SVG file will be distributed with Inkscape 0.47 (hence the need for the above requested licensing).

It must load relatively fast since it will be rendered in real-time when someone views the about screen (the SVG’s file size needs to be taken into consideration too).

It must include the Inkscape logo and the following text “Inkscape”, “0.47″, “Draw Freely.”, “www.inkscape.org”, and last but not least, your name, signature, or online handle (whichever you’d prefer).

There can be a maximum of two (2) entries submitted per community member.

It must not contain anything inappropriate or otherwise offensive.

We will need for you to post your SVG file online as well (either here on DA or on your own blog, website, or FTP) at the time of submission. You may need to put it in a zip file if DA won’t allow you to upload SVG. If your SVG files are not online by the contest deadline, those entries will be disqualified.

Have fun!

Deadline:May 25, 2009

Prize:Having your art be the About Screen for the new version and a credit for your work.

Judging:
Preliminary judging will be done by the Inkscape community on DeviantART. The community judging period will be from May 26, 2009 – May 31, 2009. When we have an official “Top 3”, they will then be turned over to the Inkscape developers for final judging. Please note that once turned over to the developers, after they have chosen the winner they may have requests for modifications.
